I had been looking for some time for a cost effective and client controlled website that would allow us to showcase a wide range of tiles with numerous pictures that were easily changed and updated as new styles and stock arrived. Following a Chamber of Commerce presentation I eventually purchased a catalogue site from the Team at Datadog. With the expertise from Michael we agreed on a template and design that fitted our branding and allowed us to develop an online showroom in website form.

The team at Datadog has been most professional and competent in all my dealings with them and I am thrilled with the final result. The website/online showroom is quick and easy to negotiate and this is proven with the site usage statistics that continue to grow every month. My site has literally hundreds of pictures of tiles and tile applications and while a huge effort went into getting this data "live", the ease of the Datadog Catalogue site makes this a relatively easy process. Regular updates and changes are quick and easy and I have total control over content and copy at no extra cost.

It is extremely encouraging to see the comprehensive statistics data showing genuine customers spending substantial lengths of time viewing the online showroom. It is not uncommon for prospective and existing clients to spend 15-20-30 minutes exploring the huge amount of detail that is available to them. I am convinced it is the speed and design of the Datadog system that keeps these customers attentive. How many times have you been on a site that is slow to load or cumbersome to navigate so you give up - usually quickly - not on my website.

When I started looking for a website design about a year ago there was a host of criteria to satisfy, and all were fulfilled when I found Datadog (through a Google search). The two main criteria were ease of editing and initial cost and Datadog certainly achieves both.

Not only is the site easy to play with, meaning that it is straightforward to make amendments or add new products, but anewsletter can be produced, customer data is stored and discounts can be made, along with an array of other features.

Apart from the website design, I am also very pleased with the technical support that has and still is provided even though the website was completed back in September 2005.

Datadog also impressed me by continuing to have my business interests at heart, once the site was finished, by suggesting ways to advertise the site and also getting the site included on www.ferrit.co.nz ahead of other websites.

One testament to the capabilities of Datadog is that a colleague of mine also started their website design, with another company at the same time as It's a Boy Thing and their site is still not live!
